Andrew Smith, Jr. is a Paralegal, Notary Public, and Remote Online Notary with The Law Offices of Christopher R. Orr, where he assists clients and counsel in estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and elder law.
Andrew brings a unique combination of legal support experience, public service, business operations, and strategic problem-solving to the firm. Prior to entering the legal profession, he served as an elected member of City Council, worked as a Regional Liaison with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office, and participated in local, state, and presidential campaigns. His public service experience includes legislative advocacy before committees of the Ohio General Assembly and collaboration with government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders on a wide range of public policy initiatives.
At The Law Offices of Christopher R. Orr, Andrew plays an active role in the preparation and execution of estate planning and trust administration matters. His responsibilities include researching, drafting, and customizing legal instruments used in estate planning, trust administration, real estate conveyance, probate, and elder law matters. He also assists with client onboarding, document execution, file management, and workflow development to help ensure matters are handled efficiently and accurately.
Andrew is known for his attention to detail, analytical approach, and commitment to client service. He regularly contributes to the firm’s operational and process-improvement initiatives, helping develop procedures designed to improve client experience, increase drafting efficiency, and support the firm’s continued growth.
In addition to being a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and Paralegal Association of Central Ohio, Andrew is currently pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies through Columbus State Community College’s ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program. He resides in Columbus, Ohio.
